Evening With Industry (EWI) is UW Society of Women Engineers' annual banquet. EWI is open to SWE members who are seeking internships, co-ops, and full time employment in the fields of engineering, science, or technology.

The networking banquet dinner gives company representatives the opportunity to sit with outstanding students in SWE for extra face time and one-on-one networking over a catered dinner.

The 36th annual Evening With Industry event is going to be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the Husky Union Building South Ballroom.

Student registration for the EWI Banquet will be at the SWE January General Meeting ‪on January 3, 2018‬. Registration will be first come first serve and based on the preference of majors the companies are interested in. Only SWE members can register. Members will have to pay a $15 security fee (in cash or via Venmo), which will be reimbursed on the day of the event.

To kick off this quarter, we will be hosting a majors panel - replete with 10 amazing female engineers ready to talk to you all about how to get into every "capacity-constrained" major. They've done it, and so can you! So come to our first meeting of winter quarter to hear about all the amazing tips that they've collected through their application experiences :)

New this year: At this meeting, we will be opening signups for one of our largest events of the year: the UW SWE Evening with Industry Banquet.
Important information for this is below:
-> Sign ups will take place on January 3rd from 5:30-6 outside BAG 131.
-> You must be a UW SWE member to be eligible to sign up.
-> Please bring a $15 deposit, either in cash or venmo. Please bring EXACT change. This money is just a security deposit, and will be returned to you via a gift card at the event.
-> PLEASE come early if you would like to sit with a specific company since spots are likely to go pretty fast.

Other important points:
-> We are also super excited to open applications for UW SWE membership yet again! We will be opening applications on January 3rd at our general meeting and the deadline for these applications is January 16th @ 5pm. To apply, fill out our application at tinyurl.com/uwsweapply.
-> We will also begin advertising scholarship info for WE Local Portland as well as introduce the election process for next year's executive officer body, both of which are amazing opportunities to develop as engineering leaders and professionals.

This meeting is definitely jam packed, so we look forward to seeing you there! As always, please email swe@uw.edu with any specific questions!
